Welcome to the healing journey with Kim, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Nationally Board Certified Counselor, Board Certified Neurofeedback Provider, Certified Integrative Mental Health Practitioner, and Founder & Owner of Legacy Mental Health Counseling & Neurofeedback Center. I offer virtual telehealth sessions across New York and Florida, as well as in-person sessions at my LaGrangeville, NY office
I specialize in trauma recovery, anxiety, and depression, with a particular focus on supporting individuals who have experienced all forms of trauma, including those with military backgrounds and those navigating the profound loss of a loved one to suicide.
My work blends traditional psychotherapy with evidence-based, brain-based approaches such as Neurofeedback and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). As a Certified Integrative Mental Health Practitioner, I also take a whole-person approach to healing, recognizing the role that nervous system regulation, sleep, nutrition, inflammation, stress physiology, and lifestyle factors can play in mental health. This perspective allows us to look beyond symptoms alone and better understand what may be contributing to how you are feeling.
I have also received advanced training in Neurofeedback under the mentorship of Dr. Dan Meyer at the Hudson Valley Center for Neurofeedback in Poughkeepsie, NY, and I hold a Trauma-Focused Neurofeedback Certification from the Trauma Research Foundation.
At the heart of my work is a belief in reauthoring your story. I offer a nonjudgmental, supportive space where you are truly heard. Together, we work to build resilience, self-compassion, and the capacity to move forward with greater clarity and stability.

Hi, I’m Shawna! I work with teens and adults who have experienced complex trauma rooted in neglect, abuse, or emotional disconnection within their families. I also support people navigating depression, anxiety, identity exploration, family conflict or estrangement, and the many transitions that life can bring. I hold a special commitment to supporting LGBTQIA+ clients in ways that are supportive, safe, and deeply respectful, creating space where every part of who you are is seen and valued. My background also includes working with individuals in non-traditional relationships
My approach to therapy is centered on your unique experiences, your needs, and your pace. I draw from an integrative range of modalities, including DBT, trauma-informed CBT, relational therapy, narrative therapy, attachment-based work, body-based practices, expressive therapy, and more. I strive to build a relationship grounded in trust, collaboration, and compassion as we work to figure out what feels right and supportive for you.
Together, we’ll explore both the struggles and the strengths you bring with you, reconnecting with your values and what matters most to you. Whether you are working through painful memories, navigating complex relationships, or simply figuring out what comes next, we’ll move forward gently, at your pace, in a way that supports the life and the connections you most want for yourself.

Hello, I’m Alice! I work with adults, teens, and preteens to navigate a broad spectrum of struggles and concerns such as anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, perinatal loss, parenting, complex trauma, and trauma spectrum disorders. I am devoted through my counseling to help create solace and identify strength in the face of suffering. With a deep understanding of how trauma impacts the mind, body, and relationships, I approach therapy with compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person's unique story. My practice is rooted in the belief that healing is possible—and that every person deserves to be seen, heard, and supported without judgment. I work collaboratively with clients to help them reconnect with their strengths, build resilience, and move toward a life of greater peace and authenticity.
I am broadly person-centered and eclectic in my therapeutic approach, while drawing also from psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, and family systems theory. I find this approach in combination with careful attunement to somatic responses, and utilization of somatic techniques can lead to meaningful healing, change, and growth. I enter the room with warmth, care, empathy, and a dedicated desire to work alongside you, the expert of your own experience.
I strive to offer trauma-informed mental health counseling dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering space for individuals navigating the complexities of living. Whether you're seeking support for recent challenges or working through long-standing wounds, I offer a warm, nonjudgmental presence and a therapeutic relationship built on trust. Together, we’ll explore what healing means for you and take steps toward meaningful change, striving for your true potential, and pursuing your authentic self — at your pace.

Hi, I’m Esther. I am a counseling intern currently completing my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern New Hampshire University. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from SUNY Potsdam.
Before pursuing counseling, I worked in a senior nursing facility and served in emergency medical services as an EMT. These experiences shaped my passion for supporting people through challenging and often overwhelming moments in life. I have a deep respect for individuals who work in helping professions and first responder roles and understand the unique stressors that can come with those careers.
I work with adults ages 18 and older who may be navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, or the impact of trauma. I especially enjoy working with individuals in helping professions, first responders, and others who regularly care for others while carrying significant stress themselves.
My goal is to create a supportive and respectful environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and personal goals.
My approach incorporates somatic based strategies and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), recognizing the strong connection between the mind and body. I approach therapy through a trauma informed lens and believe the counseling process should be collaborative, practical, and tailored to each person’s unique experiences and strengths
